Apple Launches Pink iPod nano

pink-ipod-nano.jpgApple introduces a new pink iPod nano today. The only thing different about this one and the existing fat nano’s is that the new one is pink.

The pink version is an 8GB unit that retails for $199 and is available now at the Apple store.

This should be a great iPod for the ladies this Valentine’s day guys. The same video features and all apply to the pink iPod nano.

30GB MP4 Player Has No Name but Lots of Formats

30gbmp4.jpgThe 4.3-inch TFT 30GB MP4 player over on Alibaba is an interesting looking device that has a shape reminiscent of the PSP. The manufacturer of the device is simply listed as OEM and no pricing information is given.

The large 4.3-inch screen has a resolution of 480 x 272 with 24 bit color. The device supports tons of video formats including AVI, MPG, ASF, WMV, DAT, VOB, MPEG-1,MPEG-2, DivX3.1/4.xx/5.xx, XviD, ISO MPEG-4 SP/ASP, WMV9 (640 x 282), H.264 (CIF).

Supported audio formats include MP3, AC3, WMA, BSAC, and AAC+. A mic and speaker is built-in and the device has a TV output as well. No information on pricing is available.

A FM tuner with FM recording is integrated and a TV out allows you to play videos on your big screen. Storage internally is up to 1GB and an integrated SD/MMC slot allows you to upgrade memory. The device runs on embedded Linux OS.

It can play WMV, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DiVX/XviD and H.264 formats for video. Audio formats include WMA, AAC, MP3, and OGG. The device also supports real-time lyrics display which is very cool.
