Toshiba Targets 2008 for Release of Fuel Cell PMP
Toshiba recently announced its plans to bring a fuel cell powered PMP to market in 2008. In fact Toshiba showed off a prototype at Japan’s CEAYEC exhibit.Details on the device like supported file types and features weren’t mentioned. Toshiba says the device would be good for about 10 hours of 1seg TV playback on a full tank of whatever fuel powers the device.
PMPToday says that Toshiba’s previous fuel cell prototypes ran on nearly 100% methanol, but there seems to be no concrete statement of what this one would run on.
