Posdata G100 WiMax Player

The G100 is a WiMAX enabled device that features a 4-inch LCD, a sliding gamepad and three wireless connectivity options including WiBro, WiMax, and Bluetooth.

While WiMAX is still far from readily available in the U.S., the device is ready for the service. It seems the device is destined solely for sale in the U.S. market, which is rare. We don’t normally get cool stuff exclusively for us here in America.

The device has an 800 x 480 resolution, plays MPEG 4, H.264, WMV9, and DivX video, as well asMP3, WMA, and AC3 audio. The battery is removable and replaceable and memory is via miniSD cards. The device will be marketed by iRiver and will include an additional battery. No word on pricing or availability on the device is available at this time.
