New iPod Nano Coming?

Gizmodo has a story up that originate from 9-5 Mac with what is claimed to be a spy shot of a new iPod Nano. If the spy shot is real, which is unknown at this point, the new Nano seems to be a shorter, fatter version of the current device with a larger screen for playing video.

Honestly, the device looks a lot like the Zune to me, especially the brown one. Other than the image you see here, little is known about the device.

Conspiracy theorists may have something to say about this, but the 9-5 Mac site has removed the image you see here with a statement saying Apple requested it be taken down. I have to wonder if the pic wasn’t accurate would Apple have bothered.
