Apple Legal forces Some Sites to Remove Leaked iPod Nano Photos

new-ipod-nano-mock.jpgA few days ago I posted a story that I found over at Gizmodo with some grainy pictures claiming to be leaked shots of the upcoming iPod Nano. As with all supposedly leaked shots of electronics, the image was met by lots of people saying it was real and lots saying it was total bunk.

Apple themselves have confirmed the images accuracy in a way to many by forcing 9to5mac, Gizmodo and Engadget to remove the image that you saw in the post from the 22.

In its place are mock ups that look virtually identical to the leaked shot. The question here is would the Apple legal department bother if it was total bunk? Lots of people say no they wouldn’t, therefore the images must be the real deal. Rumor has it that on September 5 apple is having a special event that will launch the new iPod’s, so in a few weeks we will see how accurate the shot was.
