Sony Bringing Digital TV to New PSP?
Sony announced not too long ago that they would be selling a plug-in digital TV tuner for the second generation PSP in Japan that works with Japan’s OneSeg format for mobile digital TV broadcasts. OneSeg broadcasts are very popular in Japan and available in much of the country making them a popular feature on cell phones. Broadcasts are in a QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.
With the new thinner PSP having a video out, you could use the PSP with the TV tuner to watch TV programs on your home TV as well. Since Japan is the only country using the OneSeg format, the TV tuner won’t work in other countries. Within Japan it will sell for 6,980 Yen. Via PC World
