Gigabyte Digital TV GSmart t600 Review

gsmart_t600.jpgGSmart is the name under which the electronics maker Gigabyte sells their mobile phones here in the states. The guys over at Tweaktown got their hands on the GSmart t600 mobile phone and put it through its paces.

The t600 is a Windows mobile powered device that has a built-in digital tuners, yes tuners, there are three digital tuners built into the phone as well as a pair of radio tuners. The tuners pick up DVB-T, DVB-H and T-DMB signals.

Sadly the t600 only ships with software for the DVB-T tuner so there is no current method to watch programs on the other two tuners. The stylus for working with the phone doubles as the TV antenna as well. In the end Tweaktown found that the t600 isn’t that bad, but doesn’t compete well with other windows Mobile devices around.
