Toshiba's Gigabeat V60 Launched

Two times the capacity of its predecessor (Gigabeat V30), Toshiba has just doubled the capacity of its media player.  The 60GB V60E can record up to 255 hours off the OneSeg ISDB-T mobile TV tuner.

The 3.5 inch QVGA display remains the same and plentiful, but the enhanced EPG can now schedule up to 16 shows for recording up to 1 week in advance.  The V60 provides 9 hours of WMV videos, 27 hours of MP3, WMA, WAV, WMA 9 Lossless/DRM’d playback, and 7 hours of OneSeg TV.

Expect the V30E to arrive on the scene in Japan on November 22nd for ¥ 49,800 or $423 in US funds.  Following it is the V60E on December 8th for ¥59,800 or $507 in US funds.  The V60 should be coasting to the US a few months later.
