Korean viliv P1 - The Video iPod of Today
I am not sure if Korean PMPEvent had in mind to create a portable video player that strongly reminds on the Apple iPod, or if its just my impression.
Update:
viliv P1 Goes on sale in March in the United States
Still the viliv P1 is quite interesting. It is supposed to feature an all Macromedia Flash UI (see photo below) and a 20GB hard-drive. Another Apple iPod similarity is the click wheel.
The portable media player measures 161.0mm X 74.0mm X 18.0mm and weighs 250g. The screen is 4" with a QVGA resolution. The viliv P1 plays WMV, DivX video, mp3, wma and ogg audio and displays jpgs, png and bmps. Other features include, FM-Tuner, FM-Transmitter and 5.1 Audio output.
Of course no information on when this advanced PMP will hit stores. This PMP is based on the feature list and specifications pretty impressive.
More details on the pmpevent site (Korean), via CDPKorea (Korean).
It looks like Macromedia is having some success licensing their Flash technology to Asian gadget manufacturers for the user interface.
