MobiNote announces DP7010-SP 7" PMP with DRM


MobiNote announces DP7010-SP 7 MobiNote announces a new version of its MobiNote DP7010 at Computex 2005. The new model is dubbed DP7010-SP. I4U reported in March about a potential new MobiNote PMP dubbed DP7020 that should have been shown at CeBit. The specifications match. So MobiNote decided to call their new player DP7010-SP and not DP7020.

The new DVX-POD 7020-SP features built-in speakers and a DRM management solution. MobiNote implemented DivX VOD, a multilingual DRM solution, in the MobiNote DP7010-SP.

The MobiNote DP7010-SP, a 7" monster MP4 player equipped with the high-quality LTPS (Low Temperature Poly Silicon) screen and MP4 compression technology for playing MP4 videos in a wide screen format (16:9). Furthermore, the MobiNote DP7010-SP has a wide viewing angle of up to 170°. The built-in 20/40GB hard drive, MP3 player, photo viewer, voice recorder, and digital video recorder in the MobiNote DP7010-SP.

MobiNote is an OEM company. So we have to wait until somebody will pick up distribution of the new DP7010-SP to know pricing and availability.
