Foldable Portable Video Player: Jace DDP-1500
Korean Jace offers a 20GB Portable video player, where the display can be flipped up. The DDP-1500 measures 120x90x30mm and the color TFT display measures 3.5". Besides playing video (MP4, WMV, Divx) it also has Wi-Fi and has a web browser. Data is transferred via USB 2.0. To have Wi-Fi on the portable video player is nice. To be able to surf the web even nicer. Wonder if it would be possible to run a bit torrent client to directly download videos onto the PVP.
More details on DAPReview. They also talk about two other new PVPs from asia.

Olympus m:robe MR-500i Digital Media Player
Olympus surprises with exiting fusion portable media devices.
The MR-500i has a digital camera and a 20GB HDD. It plays WMA audio. It seems not to support Video playback, which is a bit dissapointing. On the positive side it has a touch-screen interface. It suppors things like touching the screen to take a photo. The devices also has features to create photo slide shows with music. The Olympus m:robe connects to TVs for viewing on a bigger screen.
Olympus also announced a smaller 5GB music player supporting WMA and MP3.
When and if those Olympus gadgets ever see the outside of Japan is not clear.
More details in Olympus Press-Release (Japanese). PhotographyBlog published a english translation of it. See also the Olympus robe site (Japanese).
